Click here to watch my show!

This is a very special show because I will be giving everyone a sneak peek at my brand new line releasing this summer at CHA!

This class is filled with many new techniques you are sure to use over and over including a very unique binding technique that is much easier than it looks. The book is filled with adorable little envelopes filled with inserts to store your precious photos of any occasion. Resin windows and ephemera from the collection add a vintage feel along with the gorgeous flowers all of which are from Prima Marketing. This class could be considered an intermediate class but beginners shouldn't have a difficult time with step by step instructions. Cropodile and two large eyelets (You can use a standard hole punch and paper hole enforcers if you don't have these!), crochet thread or needle point thread about 15 pieces at 15" long, Quick Dry wet glue, paper trimmer, (choose one you can measure and score with), bone fold for scoring, brown distress ink, scissors, and Basic crop supplies.

See you there!

Another year!

Looks like another year filled with Prima goodness and of course lots of workshops! As I'm gearing up for a new year of teaching, I'm very excited to be launching my largest line ever released, a whopping 30+ items and I am thrilled to finally have designed papers and so much more. I can't give too much away though so you'll have to check back around CHA! This year's workshops will have an array of art projects mostly mixed media scrapbooking but I do have a few jewelry and canvas workshops that I will be offering soon. I'm so thrilled and can't wait to make new friends and hopefully reunite with some of you once again.

To book a workshop, please contact me at marion@apieceofcraft.com

Thank You Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico!!

Wow! I had such an amazing time teaching in Puerto Rico for Memory Box events! Everyone was so wonderful and the event was organized so well by Yamille and her amazing staff. I want to thank everyone who attended and especially thank my amazing assistant Stephanie for putting up with me and the screaching microphone that seemed not to like her every time she walked by lol! I also want to extend a special thank you to my sponsors who were generous enough to sponsor some amazing products for my workshops. Thank you oh so very much, Ranger, Tim Holtz, Claudine Hellmuth, and of course the one and only Prima Marketing for your support and generosity!

The Students were fantastic, everyone was so amazing and kind. This was definitely a rare bunch as everyone was very humorous and I enjoyed sharing stories and jokes. I don't think I've ever gotten this many hugs in one week in my entire life lol so thank you ladies and gents for the kindness!

Anna Dabrowska, Vicki Boutin, Yamille, & Christy Tomlinson, what an amazing bunch!
I have to say, this truly was a match made in heaven as we all got along maybe too well! It was so much fun staying up till the wee hours of the morning creating art for ourselves! I truly feel like I've made some life long friends. It was so fun being able to sit back and create with some amazing artists. I can't wait to see you all again, and you can count on that girls weekend in Texas!

Craft Wars!

Oh yes and of course the educators were pinned against each other in a makeshift craft war!
How fun is that!? It was myself and Christy against Anna and Vicki and of course it was a tie but super fun and messy! We had to incorporate Kentucky Fried Chicken and believe it or not toilet seat covers in this canvas, and we had 15 minutes to complete it! At one point Vicki and I were fighting over gel medium and I think I shot paint torpedoes however, I am not the one who got red paint on the carpet! (Ehem Vicki!) By the end of the night we all had glue in our hair, paint on our clothes and face, and were in dyer need of a shower! Puerto Rico wasn't going to let us slip away that easy though, we ended up dancing and partying till the wee hours of the morning!

I also got to take Anna's awesome layout class as you can see above I think I did pretty good even though she laughed when I really did use everything in the kit to the last little bit lol! Sadly I lost my precious layout somewhere during our trip to Old San Juan and it's killing me! You'll also notice I stole one of Anna's pictures to use in my layout lol! She didn't mind though as sweet as she is!

I also took Vicki's class but had to leave near the beginning, so sad but hopefully I can finish it soon and post about it.

Old San Juan was gorgeous!

As you can see art was everywhere in Old San Juan, I'm just super sad I only had two hours to site see as I had to catch a flight back home. It was definitely sad leaving this bunch of friends. I know I will be seeing you guys at CHA so that is something I am definitely looking forward to!! Thank you again Yamille for asking me to come along on this awesome adventure, it's a week I will never forget!

Love ya guys!
